Mortgage brokers back in business
The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries announced today that business is beginning to pick up again for mortgage brokers.
In September, only half of mortgage brokers were able to assist clients as lenders were offering the best mortgage and remortgage deals directly to customers.
Since September, the 50% of mortgage brokers unable to assist customers has decreased to one third.
AMI director general, Chris Cummings said: “It is extremely positive that brokers are again getting access to the best products.
“Consumers wish to deal with mortgage intermediaries and record numbers have done so during the course of 2008.”

This is good news, at last. Does this signal a broader turning point for the economy?
