VAT cuts benefit Conveyancing Alliance Ltd customersConveyancing Alliance Ltd (CAL) announced that it will pass on the full cut in VAT to customers from today (1st December). The 2.5% VAT cut means that all online quotes from today will be charged at the new 15% rate. For typical remortgage customers, this means a saving of around £10. Surely peanuts compared with the savings people need to make (e.g. on their actual mortgages) - in any case, this is no more than they should have done. Passing on a cut they have no business withholding is not news.
